Zusammenfassung
Eine “total parenterale Ernährung” führt zu einer Atrophie der Dünndarmschleimhaut und funktionellen Veränderungen [2, 5]. Die nicht essentielle Aminosäure Glutamin, die ein wesentliches Substrat im Stoffwechsel der intestinalen Schleimhautzellen darstellt, ist aufgrund der Instabilität von Glutamin nicht in den gebräuchlichen Infusionslösungen zur parenteralen Ernährung enthalten [1].
