Nach einem Überblick über Ursprung, Ziele, Nutzerkreise von Y-NET und Verbindungen zu anderen Electronic Mail (Email)-Netzen und -Diensten wird ein Erfahrungsbericht über den Aufbau eines privaten europäischen X.400-Netzes und dessen Integration in bestehende heterogene Strukturen in Europa sowie über die Zusammenarbeit der am Y-NET beteiligten kommerziellen X.400-Produkte gegeben.
