Zusammenfassung
Manifestationen gestörter visueller Perzeption können gemäß Hughling Jacksons genereller Definition neurologischer Defizite in „positive“ (Tabelle 1) und „negative“ (Tabelle 2) eingeteilt werden. Häufiger finden sich negative Symptome, vor allem Gesichtsfeldausfälle, jedoch sind auch positive visuelle Phänomene im klinischen und nichtklinischen Bereich außerordentlich zahlreich und vielfältig. Das verwundert nicht, wenn man bedenkt, daß das visuelle System unsere wichtigste sensorische Außeninformation vermittelt und bei der Verarbeitung visueller Eindrücke 1/3 des zentralen Nervensystems involviert ist.
