Abstract

The genus Duboisia (family Solanaceae) contains three species which were discovered in Australia in the 19th century. D. myoporoides (Dm; Fig. 1) was first described by Robert Brown in 1810. Then specimens of native D. hopwoodii (Dh) and D. leichhardtii (Dl), collected in 1861 and 1867, respectively, were correctly described by Baron von Mueller in 1877 (Barnard 1952).
