In Eastern European countries of today, we see on the one hand the tendency towards better exchanges of information, growing volumes of goods transported and an increased volume of passenger traffic. On the other hand, we have to admit that the present system of transport has completely exhausted itself. The shortage of goods and services that is characteristic of the USSR, is most evident when we speak about transport production.
