Zusammenfassung
Neben einer Quantifizierung der mikrobiellen Biomasse (und des damit verbundenen C- und Nährstoffpools) gewinnt zunehmend die Charakterisierung des physiologischen Zustandes der Mikroorganismengesellschaft an Bedeutung. Der physiologische Zustand ist determiniert durch den Ernährungsstatus sowie durch Faktoren wie Bodentyp, Klima, Schadstoffeinflüsse etc. Die unten angeführten Methoden sind ausführlich in den angegebenen Originalarbeiten und bei Martens (1991) beschrieben.
