Zusammenfassung

Das Basaliom ist nicht nur der häufigste maligne Hauttumor, sondern zeigt auch darüber hinaus eine deutliche Häufigkeitszunahme (mit Ausnahme schwarz- und dunkelhäutiger Rassen). Die Inzidenz in Schweden betrug 1980 ca. 50 Neuerkrankungen /100000/ Jahr mit einer Inzidenzverdopplung ca. alle 10 Jahre [21]. Im Saarländischen Krebsregister [20] finden sich Hinweise für entsprechende Inzidenzen und Inzidenzsteigerungen. In Australien wurde 1985 eine Basaliom-Inzidenz von 657 /100000/ Jahr festgestellt [5].
