Abstract
Many attemps to quantify cerebral blood flow (CBF) in newborn infants have been made using different principles and techniques (Greisen 1988), but there is still no satisfactory method. However, the use of a radioactive isotope of the noble gas xenon, 133Xe, has provided some useful information.
