Zusammenfassung

Neue technische Entwicklungen in der Leberchirurgie erlauben es heute, selbst fortgeschrittene Tumorstadien zu resezieren. Die Indikationsstellung zum operativen Vorgehen ist zwar primär von bildgebenden Verfahren abhängig, wird jedoch auch von Alter und Allgemeinzustand der Patienten, von Leber funktionsparametern sowie prognostischen Faktoren beeinfluβt. In den Fällen, in denen die Resektabilität präoperativ nicht eindeutig zu beurteilen ist, wird eine intraoperative Klärung (Inspektion, Palpation, intraoperativer Ultraschall, Histologic) angestrebt.
