In this chapter we shall formulate various scenarios for economic restructuring, for Germany and the UK, and assess the associated CO2 emissions. The method we follow is an application of our basic input-output equation for CO2 emissions, derived in Section 8.2.4; viz:
$$C = \left[ {e'P'Z + \left( {e'C' + m'} \right){{\left( {I - A} \right)}^{ - 1}}} \right]y$$
