Zusammenfassung
Die klinische Beurteilbarkeit komatöser Patienten wird durch die vielfach übliche Verabreichung von Sedativa während der intensivmedizinischen Behandlung wesentlich eingeschränkt. Daher wurden während der vergangenen Jahre vermehrt elektrophysiologische Tests herangezogen, unter denen sich evozierte Potentiale besonders bewährt haben [1–6]. Unklar ist dagegen die Frage, inwieweit sich diese Techniken zur Verlaufsbeurteilung eignen. Um diese Frage zu klären, wurden 62 traumatisch und nichttraumatisch komatöse Patienten mit SEP und MEP im Verlauf untersucht, die Potentialbefunde wurden mit der Entwicklung des klinischen Status in Beziehung gesetzt.
