Zusammenfassung
Als kontrollierte Hypotension (Synonyma: induzierte Hypotension, „deliberate hypotension“) wird eine pharmakologisch erzeugte Senkung des arteriellen Blutdrucks unter das normale Niveau des Patienten bezeichnet. Sie dient primär der Schaffung eines blutarmen Operationsfeldes und einer Verminderung des operativ verursachten Blutverlustes. Hierdurch soll der operative Eingriff vereinfacht und beschleunigt werden und der Bedarf an Fremdblut abnehmen. Indikationen und Kontraindikationen für das Verfahren ergeben sich aus der Analyse von Nutzen und Gefahren, wofür die Beschreibung der physiologischen Wirkungen, der Grenzen, potentiellen Risiken und der Effektivität Voraussetzung sind.
