Zusammenfassung
Mikroflora: Bei der Betrachtung der mikrobiellen Besiedelung des Auges muß zwischen dem äußeren und dem inneren Bereich des Auges unterschieden werden. Die Keimbesiedelung des äußeren Bereiches, d. h. der Lider, der Lidränder mit den Zilien, der Bindehaut, der Cornea und des Tränenganges, entspricht im wesentlichen der Keimflora der Haut. Die am häufigsten isolierten aeroben Keime sind koagulase-negative Staphylokokken, gefolgt von Coryneformen, Mikrokokken und zu einem geringeren Anteil auch gramnegativen Erregern. S. aureus wird hauptsächlich im Bereich der Lider und Lidränder gefunden. Bei den Anaerobiern dominiert P. acnes, der besonders häufig in den Haarfollikeln des Lidrandes und auf der Lidhaut vorkommt Zu einem geringen Prozentsatz sind Pilze und Hefen nachweisbar. Der innere Bereich des Auges ist unter physiologischen Bedingungen steril (McNatt et al. 1978; Isenberg et al. 1983; Forster 1985).
