Zusammenfassung

Uterusmyome sind die am häufigsten vorkommenden benignen Tumoren der Frau. Die Symptomatik ist vielfältig, eine Altersabhängigkeit ist gegeben. 20–25% aller Frauen im 3.-4. Lebensjahrzehnt haben Myome. Myome können Ursache einer Infertilität sein. Fast die Hälfte aller Myome macht Beschwerden. Auffallende klinische Merkmale sind Schmerzen und Blutungsstörungen. Da die Myome in ihrem Wachstum östrogenabhängig sind, findet man während der Schwangerschaft eine Größenzunahme. Eine Reduktion des Größenumfangs fällt nach der Menopause auf. Der Östradiolrezeptorgehalt von Myomen ist größer [1].
