Abstract

The WHO defines pneumoconioses as changes in the lungs caused by the inhalation and deposition of dust-like particles. Asbestosis which leads to progressive, radiologically verifiable pulmonary fibrosis with functional impairment is often underestimated from a radiological viewpoint both medically and economically, although the various forms may have substantial implications.
