Management of Pancreatic Pseudocysts: Pseudocystojejunostomy

  • Conference paper
Standards in Pancreatic Surgery

Abstract

Throughout the literature surgical procedures on pancreatic pseudocysts are usually dealt with as not much of a problem. The high percentage of reoperations required for recurrent disease — up to 10% [1,2] — however, uncovers the fact that there might be uncertainty in terms of both indication to operate and the appropriate technique. The question of which treatment modality may be most beneficial cannot be definitively decided in favor of one or the other operation.
