Abstract

This short overview concentrates on some relevant new data on the etiology and pathogenesis of chronic alcoholic pancreatitis. For further information the reader is referred to more extensive reviews on alcohol and chronic alcoholic pancreatitis which have been published recently [25, 28, 31, 36].
