Zusammenfassung
Zur internen Fixation von Frakturen, Knochenfragmenten und Gelenken werden bis heute fast ausschließlich Metallimplantate verwandt. Nachteile dieser Implantate sind die Notwendigkeit von Zweitoperationen zur Materialentfernung, Unverträglichkeits- und Abstoßungsreaktionen sowie Störungen der Frakturheilung durch fehlenden Belastungsstreß aufgrund zu hoher Materialfestigkeit.
