Zusammenfassung
Beim Einsatz eines biologischen Systems in einem technologischen Zusammenhang ist die Frage nach der Stabilität des biologischen Systems immer von zentraler Bedeutung. Sie hängt unmittelbar mit den Prozeßkosten zusammen und muß deshalb immer berücksichtigt werden. In einer rein biochemischen Fragestellung spielt die Stabilität keine Rolle. Im Zusammenhang mit experimentellen Verfahren ist sie jedoch sehr bedeutend. Es ist ein schwieriges, wenn nicht sogar unmögliches Unterfangen, die in-vivo -Stabilität mit der in-vitro-Stabilität in Relation setzen zu wollen. Da die Biotechnologie jedoch eher an der Anwendungsmöglichkeit von biologischen Systemen als an biologisch relevanten Bedingungen interessiert ist, können viele Methoden zur Beeinflussung der Stabilität bzw. effektiven Stabilität von Enzymen untersucht werden.
