Abstract

Membranous (or ‘epimembranous’) nephropathy is a frequent cause of NS. Its incidence is on the order of 20% of all primary glomerulonephritides in the adult. It may also be encountered in children. Membranous glomerulopathy may be due to any one of several diseases but very often remains of unknown etiology.
