Abstract
We have carried out model calculations of infrared absorption spectra for (La1-xSrx)2CuO4 superconductors. The result shows the anisotropic shielding of incident electromagnetic waves does not explain the infrared anomaly commonly observed for high-Tc superconducting oxides.
