Zusammenfassung
Vor 30 Jahren veröffentlichte Bille in Schweden die erste große epidemiologische Studie zu Kopfschmerzen bei Kindern (1962). Danach litten bis zu 45% der Kinder an Kopfschmerzen, 4,5% davon an Migräne. Ende der 70er Jahre stellte Sillanpää einen Anstieg der Kopfschmerzprävalenz in Finnland auf 70% fest (1983). Auch einige neuere Untersuchungen aus Italien bestätigen den Trend, daß die Kopfschmerzhäufigkeit bei Kindern ansteigt (Lanzi 1980; Manzoni et al. 1989; Piattella et al. 1989; Saraceni et al. 1989). Für Mitteleuropa liegen bislang kaum epidemiologische Zahlen vor. Aus diesem Grund wurde ein Fragebogen zur Erhebung der Kopfschmerzsituation an den Schulen in Wuppertal und Umgebung entworfen.
