Zusammenfassung

Reflexepilepsien sind für etwa 5% aller chronischen Anfallsleiden verantwortlich [18, 24]. Eine Vielfalt unterschiedlicher Auslösemechanismen provoziert hierbei eine ähnliche Fülle von Anfallsphänomenen. Unterschieden werden kann zwischen den Fällen, bei denen ausschließlich beim Einwirken eines konstanten spezifischen Stimulus ein epileptisches Phänomen bei einem sonst anfallsfreien Patienten hervorgerufen wird und dem zusätzlichen Auftreten von Reflexanfällen im Rahmen chronischer Epilepsien mit „spontanen“ Anfällen. Da bei diesen Patienten allerdings auch additiv einwirkende exogene Faktoren zusätzlich zur Senkung der Anfallsschwelle beitragen und anfallsauslösend sein können, ist der Übergang zwischen beiden Verlaufsformen fließend und eine genaue Abgrenzung oftmals nicht möglich [15].
