Zusammenfassung
Die Prognose von Kindern mit malignen Hirntumoren ist schlecht; nach alleiniger Operation und/oder Strahlentherapie ist mit einer Langzeitüberlebensrate von weniger als 30% zu rechnen (Bloom 1986), wobei die meist nicht radikale Operabilität und die besonders bei jungen Kindern limitierte Bestrahlungsdosis entscheidende Faktoren sind.
