Zusammenfassung
Alkohol ist eines der ältesten und bekanntesten Psychopharmaka. Seine Wirkung ist dosis- und zustandsabhängig. Von der Zell- bis zur Verhaltensebene können 3 Wirkungsweisen unterschieden werden: Stimulation, Disinhibition und Inhibition. Bei geringen Dosen überwiegt der erregende, bei höheren Dosen der hemmende Einfluß der Droge, aber insgesamt zählt Alkohol zu den zentralnervös depressorisch wirkenden Substanzen.
