Zusammenfassung
Obwohl in der klinischen Diagnostik Verhaltensäußerungen bedeutsame Rollen spielen, sind vergleichende Verhaltensprüfungen bei Tieren bemerkenswert spärlich genutzt worden. Am Beispiel depressiver Erkrankungen soll aufgezeigt werden, wie die Verhaltensforschung zum Verständnis allgemeiner biologischer Grundlagen von psychischen Erkrankungen beitragen kann.
