Zusammenfassung
Durch die Erfolge der Psychopharmakotherapie wurde der Indikationsbereich der NET, die sowohl bei endogenen Depressionen, aber auch bei Schizophrenen angewandt wurde, zunächst sehr stark eingeschränkt. In den letzten Jahren zeigt sich aber weltweit wieder eine deutliche Zunahme der Anwendung dieses Behandlungsverfahrens.
