Zusammenfassung

Knochenmetastasen im Bereich der oberen Extremität sind relativ selten. Dies hängt zusammen mit der geringen Menge hämatopoetischen Knochenmarkes in dieser Region, da Karzinommetastasen dieses Milieu bevorzugen. Dementsprechend finden sich Metastasen in absteigender Reihenfolge der Häufigkeit nach an folgenden Skelettabschnitten: Wirbelsäule, Becken, proximales Femur, Schädel, Rippen und erst an 6. Stelle der proximale Humerus [5] (Tabelle 1).

Zwei Fälle wurden freundlicherweise von der Orthopädischen Universitätskllinik Heidelberg (Dir. Prof. Dr. H. Cotta) zur Verfügung getellt.
