Biologische versus psychologische Behandlung der Angststörungen

Zusammenfassung

In meinem Beitrag “Biologische versus psychologische Perspektiven der Angststörungen” (s. oben) habe ich in Tabelle 1 eine Auflistung von Vorschlägen zur Ätiologie der Angststörungen und korrespondierender Behandlungen vorgelegt. Es wäre jedoch falsch, aus dieser Tabelle zu schlieβen, daβ die postulierten Ursachen zuerst entdeckt wurden und die Behandlungen als logische Deduktionen folgten. In vielen Fällen wurde eine Ursache aus den vermuteten Wirkmechanismen einiger Behandlungsformen erschlossen, von denen man glaubte, daβ sie gegen Angst wirksam seien. Die Behandlung psychischer Störungen schien stets mehr in der Realität begründet zu sein als deren Theorie. Es ist daher lehrreich, die Studien zum Behandlungserfolg von biologischen und psychologischen Behandlungsformen der Angststörungen zu untersuchen, die als erfolgreich betrachtet werden, um herauszufinden, wie stichhaltig die sachlichen Grundlagen dieser Schluβfolgerungen tatsächlich sind.
