Zusammenfassung

Das gemeinsame Auftreten von Glaukom und Hornhauterkrankungen kann in 3 Erkrankungsgruppen unterteilt werden [1]. In der ersten Gruppe ist das gemeinsame Auftreten Folge einer gemeinsamen Erkrankung des gesamten vorderen Augensegmentes. Dazu zählen Fehlbildungen wie z.B. die Peters-An-omalie, die Sklerokornea, die Aniridie und das Axenfeld-Rieger-Syndrom oder erworbene Erkrankungen, wie die Uveitis anterior oder das Trauma. Zur zweiten Gruppe gehören Hornhautveränderungen, die sekundär auf Glaukom auftreten. Hierzu zahlen augeninnendruckabhangige Hornhautveran-derungen, wie z.B. ein Epithel- oder Stromaödem bei akuten oder sehr starken Augeninnendruck-steigerungen, Endothelveränderungen bei chronischen Augendrucksteigerungen sowie Haab-Leisten beim kindlichen Glaukom. Hornhautverän-derungen können auch sekundär auf die langfristige lokale Anwendung von Glaukommedikamenten auftreten.
