Zusammenfassung

Das in westlichen Ländern häufige Endometriumkarzinom hat im allgemeinen eine recht günstige Prognose. Bei diesem grundsätzlich hormonabhängigen Tumor rezidivieren dennoch ein Drittel der Patientinnen nach Primärbehandlung und werden an dieser Erkrankung sterben. Lt. der 20. Ausgabe [9] des FIGO-Reports (Int. Fed. of Gyn. and Obstr.) liegen die Fünf-Jahres-Überlebensdaten beim Stadium I bei 72,3% (11.035 Patienten), beim Stadium II bei 56,4% (1.135 Patienten). Die Heilungschancen und das Überleben sind dabei wesentlich von bestimmten Risikofaktoren (Diabetes, Adipositas, Hypertonie) und Prognosefaktoren (Tumorstadium, Differenzierungsgrad des Tumors, myometrane Infiltrationstiefe, Spülcytologie des Peritoneums, Hormonrezeptorstatus, Ploidiegrad, S-Phasen-Anteil, Onkogenamplifikation) abhängig.
