Zusammenfassung
Der Einfluß der Antikonvulsiva auf das Schilddrüsenhormonsystem ist seit vielen Jahren bekannt. Dabei fanden sich vor allem auch unter einer Carba-mazepinmedikation Veränderungen der Schilddrüsenhormonkonzentrationen, die von den meisten Autoren auf eine enzyminduzierte raschere Metabolisierung von T4 und T3 in der Peripherie zurückgeführt wird [1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8]. Die gleichzeitig gemessenen TSH-Serumkonzentrationen wurden von der Mehrzahl der Untersucher im Normalbereich gefunden [4, 6, 8], allerdings wurden auch erhöhte [1] und vereinzelt sogar erniedrigte TSH-Basalwerte beobachtet [2]. Diese widersprüchlichen Befunde ließen an eine Beeinträchtigung der Regulationsmechanismen der Schilddrüsenhormonsekretion durch Carbamazepin denken. Vor allem schien eine Beeinflussung der.Neurosekretion des TRH/TSH-Komplexes möglich, ist doch ein Einfluß des Carbamazepins auf die Adiuretinsekretion des Hypothalamus bekannt.
