Zusammenfassung
Die perkutane transluminale Angioplastie (PTA) ist als ein zur chirurgischen Des-obliteration und Prothesenimplantation bei Gefäßobliterationen alternatives bzw. komplementäres interventionell-radiologisches Verfahren eingeführt und validisiert. Die Durchgängigkeitsraten nach PTA pelviner, femoraler und poplitealer Oblitera-tionen hängen unter anderem von der Lokalisation, Beschaffenheit und Genese der Obliteration, dem Zustand der nachgeschalteten Strombahn und bei Verschlüssen von der Verschlußlänge ab. Auch die technischen Einzelheiten der Ballondilatation wie Inflationsdruck, Inflationsdauer, Länge, Durchmesser und Material des verwendeten Ballonkatheters sowie Art und Umfang einer begleitenden und nachfolgenden medikamentösen Behandlung beeinflussen nachhaltig das Therapieergebnis.
