Zusammenfassung
On the Kursiy Nerija (Kurische Nehrung) barrier spit, the old parabolic dunes occur only in the environs of the settlement Juodkrante and, to a limited extent, in the outskirts of Nida (Fig. 1). In other places the old parabolic dunes were extensively destructed by deflation and were covered in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries by a thick layer of sand of recent moving dunes.
