Zusammenfassung

Ein wirtschaftlich besonders interessantes Anwendungsfeld für Hypertext ist technische Dokumentation: Hypertext-Systeme können dort den Nutzungskomfort wesentlich erhöhen, z.B. bei Reparaturanleitungen mit direktem Zugriff auf Ersatzteilkataloge. Ebenso bieten sie ein Potential zur Senkung hoher Dokumentationskosten (z.B. im Anlagenbau typisch ca. 7% der Gesamtkosten! [Rose89]), etwa indem durch entsprechende Verknüpfung bestimmte Dokumentteile mehrfach genutzt werden.
