Abstract
Dieser Beitrag stellt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung optimaler Startpunkte zur Navigation in Hypermediasystemen auf Basis der Theorie des optimalen Stoppens und Testens vor. Ausgangspunkt unserer Betrachtungen ist das Verfahren von Frisse. Dabei wird das “Browsing” in einem Hypermediasystem durch einen Algorithmus ergänzt, der auf Basis der Relevanz eines Knotens und seiner Nachfolger einen oder mehrere optimale Startpunkte für den Beginn dieses Prozesses bestimmt. Wir zeigen, daß unter Verwendung eines entscheidungstheoretischen Modells der hierzu notwendige Rechenaufwand erheblich verringert werden kann und die Anzahl der dem Anwender präsentierten Einstiegspunkte in das Hypermediasystem a priori begrenzt werden kann.
