Multiply-charged ions and cluster ions produced from frozen CO2 and H2O targets in energetic, heavy ion collisions

Some frozen gases (CO2 and H2O) are used to produce multiply charged recoil Ions as well as cluster ions under high energy, heavy ion impact. The ions produced in the frozen gas targets are found to be quite different from those in gas phase targets.
