Abstract
Dielectronic recombination (DR) cross sections are calculated for high-Z, two-electron ions using a distorted wave theory. We show DR cross sections for KLL dielectronic recombination of hydrogenlike U ions and the corresponding Auger rates. The Auger rates are calculated with correlated relativistic wave functions and include the Breit interaction. The dependence of the Auger rates on the nuclear charge Z is also investigated.
