X-ray emission rates from MCDF wave functions including electron exchange corrections

Abstract

A method to calculate X-ray emission rates for MCDF wave functions considering non-orthogonality of initial and final state orbitals is presented. The basic idea is to select those contributions to the emission rate which contain at most two overlap integrals between orbitals of different principal quantum numbers.
