Abstract

Affected mice have an ataxic gait which starts at the age of 3 weeks and progresses throughout life. Mutant animals are about 30% smaller than normal littermates and may have a kinked tail. Jolting mice are unsteady and attempted movement induces a rhythmic tremor of the head and trunk.

Due to an oversight, this manuscript was not included in the monograph volume on the nervous system. clearly the lesion is in the cerebellum rather than in the muscular system.
