Computation of Flows Over 2D Ramps

Hypersonic Flows for Reentry Problems

Abstract

A central-difference multigrid scheme for the Navier-Stokes equations is extended for computations of hypersonic flows over 2D ramps. The modifications of the multigrid algorithm which are necessary to capture strong shocks are discussed. Finally, results for three Mach = 5 high-Reynolds-number test cases of the Antibes Workshop are given.
