A Synthesis of Results for Test Cases 1 and 2: Hypersonic Boundary Layer and Base Flow

Abstract

A single computation is compared with experimental results for Test case 1: hypersonic boundary layer on a cone. A computation is compared with experiment for the base flow over an axisymetric downward step behind the cone inducing a fully detached and turbulent hypersonic flow. At the conference more computations were presented so occasional comments about them are also made.
