Abstract

In the present chapter we continue the study of aggregation of preferences without one of axioms A1–A5, begun in chapter 3. As mentioned in chapter 1, the rejection of axiom A4 (independence of irrelevant alternatives) allows taking into account such an important factor, as the degree of preference. It is desirable in multicriteria decision-making, when one has to compare estimates from partial criteria with regard both to their significance, and the difference between the estimates obtained. If the estimation is done by man, as in collective choice, the determinition of the degree of preference meets difficulties, since it cannot be measured in standard units.
