Augenerkrankungen im Kindesalter, die mit intraokularen Blutungen einhergehen, erfordern nicht selten die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Augenarzt und Pädiater. Für den Kinderarzt besonders relevant sind jene Fälle, in denen ein Verlust der Sehschärfe bis zur Erblindung droht Eine weitere Gruppe umfaßt das hämorrhagische Glaukom, das mit erheblichen systemischen Reaktionen einhergehen kann.
