Zusammenfassung
Im Zuge eines Polytraumas kommt es neben der direkten Gewebsschädigung zur Ausbildung eines hypovolämischen Schockzustands mit einer Minderperfusion von lebenswichtigen Organen. Darüber hinaus werden weniger wichtige Körperteile von der Durchblutung weitgehen ausgeschaltet, wie z. B. die quergestreifte Muskulatur oder die Haut.
