Zusammenfassung
Im Rahmen des BERKOM-Projektes (BERliner KOMmunikationsnetz), welches in Zusammenarbeit von Deutscher Bundespost und dem Land Berlin die Entwicklung von Anwendungen und Endsystemen für ein künftiges Breitband-Glasfaser- netz (B-ISDN) untersuchen und fördern soll, beschäftigt sich das BERMAN- Teilprojekt mit dem Management für Verteilte Anwendungen im B-ISDN. Neben der Bearbeitung konzeptioneller Aufgaben soll von BERMAN auch ein Basic Management Support System (BMSS) realisiert werden, welches den Austausch von Managementinformationen und die Initiierung von Managementoperationen sowohl auf lokal als auch auf entfernt existierenden Anwendungskomponenten erlaubt.
