Zusammenfassung

Die Mortalitätsrate von kolorektalen Karzinomen beträgt in mitteleuropäischen Ländern 10,8% bei Männern und 14,3% bei Frauen [19]. Etwa 25% der Patienten weisen schon bei Diagnosestellung des Karzinoms synchrone Lebermetastasen auf. Bei weiteren 30–40% entstehen im späteren Verlauf der Erkrankung (innerhalb von 2 Jahren) Absiedlungen des Primärtumors in der Leber (metachrone Metastasen), so daß Lebermetastasen als wichtiger prognosebestimmender Faktor beim kolorektalen Karzinom angesehen werden müssen [4].
