Abstract
Triuridales is a small monotypic order. The family Triuridaceae comprises saprophytic herbs with unisexual flowers. The female flowers have an apocarpous pistil. Each carpel contains a single basal ovule. The fruits are of an aggregate type bearing endospermic seeds with a small, globular and undifferentiated embryo.
