Zusammenfassung
Seit Einführung der modernen Schnittbildverfahren, insbesondere der Sonographie, neuerdings auch der Kernspintomographie, haben sich die Kontrastmittel-gestützten Untersuchungen in der Kinderradiologie durchgreifend geändert:

Wegfall von Untersuchungen: Darstellungen der Gallenwege mit Kontrastmitteln (KM) sind heute bei Kindern nur noch in Einzelfällen erforderlich. Ebenso entfallen Magen-Darm-Passagen bei hypertrophen Pylorusstenosen oder bei der Klärung von „Bauchschmerzen“ fast vollständig.
