Die rheumatoide Arthritis und die seronegativen Spondarthritiden wie ankylosierende Spondylitis, Psoriasisarthritis und Reitersyndrom haben eine ganze Reihe röntgenologischer und pathologisch-anatomischer Gemeinsamkeiten: Sie befallen Synovialgelenke, Bursen und Sehnenscheiden sowie außerdem Enthesen, u.a. als ligamentäre oder tendinöse Verbindungen zum Knochen.
